Rinse and repeat for the Pasadena City College women's badminton team, top player Anh Tran and San Diego Mesa's Mylene Keophaseut as they all did an encore in winning South Coast Conference championships this season.

For the eighth time in nine complete seasons under head coach Jen Ho, Pasadena City College went undefeated to win the South Coast Conference team title at 10-0.

The Lancers (10-2 overall) will face Coast Conference champion and undefeated De Anza (14-0) in the 3C2A State Team Championship Final on Thursday, May 8 at City College of San Francisco.

This will be the program's eighth California Community College championship final, having won back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 2018. The Lancers lost the last two state final matches against CCSF last year and De Anza in 2023.

San Diego Mesa placed second in conference play at 8-2 while San Diego City came in third at 5-4-1. On March 28, PCC clinched the team championship in a close one over the host Olympians, 11-10.

The SCC Individual Tournament took place Friday at Manhattan Beach Badminton Club, hosted by El Camino College.

Mesa's Keophaseut wins her second straight SCC Singles title, winning the final over Tran in a walkover as Tran had to default due to fatigure. Keophaseut won an exciting match over ECC's Anya Gore in the semifinals, 21-23, 21-16, 21-15 while Tran advanced to the finals with a 21-19, 21-15 triumph over Mesa's Emily Chindamay
