Tyreana Allen Repeats As Pairs Champ, Long Beach Wins First Beach Volleyball Team Crown Since 2019

Tyreana Allen performed the rare feat of winning a second straight individual pairs championship to put the icing on the cake after helping Long Beach City College win the 2026 South Coast Conference women's beach volleyball team championship. 

The Vikings had a perfect trip in SCC play at 10-0 to win for the time since 2019. They also captured the very first conference title in the sport in 2018. 

The 5-foot-7 Allen, who teamed with Enaya Vaielua to capture the beach pairs title as a freshman, teamed with freshman Kyla Jones to win this year's title at the SCC Individual Pairs Tournament held at Long Beach April 17-18. 

Allen-Jones downed the Cerritos duo of Roselia Cazares-Gonzalez and Jasmine Soto-Castro in the finals. Allen-Jones advanced after winning their semifinal v. LBCC teammates Alexandra Rosquin/Karla Aguirre while Cazares/Soto-Castro defeated the Vikings' Isabella Salgado/Aireon Scott in the other semi.

In conference team play, the Vikings (18-3 overall) had two 4-1 victories in their matches v. second-place Mt. San Antonio (16-8, 7-3). They had a close 3-2 triumph over Cerritos on Mar. 20, then blanked the Falcons in their second meeting, 5-0, on April 10.

Also in the SCC dual team season, College of the Desert placed third (6-4), followed by Cerritos (5-5), El Camino and Rio Hondo. 

Mt. SAC's top pair this year is Eva Fisher and Emma Carson. Desert is paced by its #1 pair of Clairie Thomas and Juliette Rothe.

Long Beach earned the #3 seed, Mt. SAC at #9, and Desert, making its first Regional Playoff appearance, grabbed #12.
